Ingredients
• Fresh Aloe Vera Leaves: 2–3 large leaves.
• Carrier Oil: 1 cup of Coconut oil, Olive oil, or Sweet Almond oil.
• Optional: A few drops of Rosemary essential oil (excellent for hair growth).
Preparation Steps
1. Prepare the Aloe: Wash the leaves and cut off the thorny edges. Chop the leaves (including the skin) into small cubes, or scoop out the clear gel if you prefer a smoother oil.
2. Infusion (The Pot): Place the aloe pieces and your carrier oil into a pot. Simmer on very low heat for about 20–30 minutes.
• Note: Do not let the oil smoke or boil aggressively. You want the aloe to turn slightly brown and the oil to turn a beautiful green.
3. Strain: Once cooled, use a fine strainer or a cheesecloth to pour the oil into a glass bottle, removing all the solid aloe bits.
4. Storage: Keep it in a cool, dark place. Since it contains fresh plant material, it’s best to use it within 2 weeks or keep it in the fridge.
How to Use It
• Scalp Massage: Apply the oil directly to your scalp and massage for 5 minutes. This improves blood circulation.
• Hair Mask: Coat your hair from roots to ends, leave it for at least 30 minutes (or even overnight), then wash it out with your regular shampoo.
