The Breakdown

• The Base: Pieces of cinnamon roll dough (you can use store-bought refrigerated dough or homemade) cut into quarters.

• The Custard: A mixture of eggs, heavy cream (or milk), vanilla extract, and a little extra cinnamon poured over the dough pieces.

• The Topping: After baking, it’s smothered in a classic Cream Cheese Glaze or the icing that often comes with the dough.

How to Make It

1. Prep: Grease a baking dish and fill it with your cut-up cinnamon roll pieces.

2. Pour: Whisk together 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of milk/cream, and a splash of vanilla. Pour this evenly over the dough.

3. Bake: Put it in the oven at 190°C for about 25–30 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.

4. Glaze: While it’s still warm, pour the icing over the top so it melts into all the cracks and crevices.

Extra Tip: If you want it even richer, you can melt some extra butter and brown sugar to drizzle over the dough before you bake it!
