The Seasoned Butter Sauce

 


• Base: Melted unsalted butter.

• The "Kick": Cajun seasoning or a mix of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of cayenne.

• The Herb: Chopped fresh parsley or dried oregano (those are the little green flecks you see).

• Salt and Pepper: To taste.

Preparation Methods

1. Oven Roasted (The easiest way): Brush the corn generously with the butter mixture, wrap them individually in foil (or cover the whole tray like in the picture), and bake at 200°C for about 20-25 minutes.

2. Grilling: If you want a bit of char, grill the corn first until it's cooked, then brush on the butter while it's still hot so it melts into the kernels.

3. Boil and Brush: You can also boil the corn in water (or a milk-and-butter bath) and then brush the spice mixture on just before serving.

A quick tip: If you want it even creamier, some people stir a spoonful of mayonnaise or crema into the butter before brushing it on.
