• The Spice Mix: This is what gives it that textured look in the jar:
• Red chili flakes (lots of them!)
• Whole mustard seeds
• Smashed garlic cloves
• Black peppercorns
How to make them:
1. Pack the jar: Stuff your sliced cucumbers and carrots into a clean glass jar along with the garlic and spices.
2. Heat the brine: Bring the vinegar, water, salt, and sugar to a boil until everything dissolves.
3. Pour and Chill: Pour the hot liquid over the veggies until they are fully covered. Let it cool to room temperature, then pop it in the fridge.
They’ll be ready to eat in about 24 hours, but they taste even better after 3 days!
